New Feature – Improved New Search

We have been working hard and now bring you two new ways to search in Dandjoo. These are Kingdom search and Latitude & Longitude search.

New Search – Kingdom Search

“Kingdom” search is a search option introduced to Dandjoo that enables a user to refine or facilitate a targeted search limited to one (Animalia) of more (Plantae and Fungi ) if the option is not used all “kingdoms” are searched by default”.

The search option has been added to the search model underneath “Location” on the left of the Dandjoo screen,

And can be used to compliment all existing search features.

New Search – Latitude & Longitude Search

Enhancements have been made to the dropped pin search functionality, allowing users to input precise latitude and longitude coordinates for a more accurate location search. This addition addresses a frequently requested feature.

Furthermore, the search radius can now be adjusted, ranging from 0 to 1000 kilometres, offering users greater flexibility in refining their search parameters and can be used to compliment all existing search features.

To enhance value of data for users the following additional data attributes have been added to the data exports to better assist in data filtering.

From March 2024, Dandjoo will produce a species list for an area of interest inclusive of all known species that has been evident within the area of interest through observation and survey.
